Hexagon AB announced that it acquired IconPro, a German industrial AI solutions provider that specializes in intelligent asset maintenance.

Apollo, developed by IconPro, provides intelligent maintenance software that remotely monitors machine operations, conditions and events. Hexagon expects integrating these capabilities into its existing metrology solutions to enable intelligent CMM maintenance that reduces downtime and improves productivity, quality and speed of production.

The company added that IconPro’s technology will allow it to offer advanced, AI-driven analytics and insights across its global install base, starting with its Stationary Metrology Division in its Manufacturing Intelligence Business Area.

"Acquiring IconPro aligns with our strategy to empower manufacturers with data-driven intelligence,” Hexagon President and CEO Anders Svensson said. "IconPro’s expertise enables us to deliver smarter services that help our customers optimize their operations, ultimately advancing their journey towards autonomous manufacturing."

Hexagon expects the acquisition to close this year, with complete consolidation anticipated shortly thereafter.
