Ford announced plans to increase production of Lincoln vehicles in the U.S. beginning in 2030, with the luxury brand phasing out imports from China for the U.S. market.
According to Ford's website, Lincoln models currently made in China include the Corsair, Aviator, Nautilus and Z, with the latter only sold in China.
In the U.S. Ford currently assembles the Navigator at Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and the Aviator at Chicago Assembly Plant. The company said it will continue exporting both models to markets including Canada, Mexico and the Middle East.
Ford did not disclose which U.S. plants would gain production. Additionally, the automaker expects the move to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs but did not specify roles or locations.
Ford reportedly assembled more than 2 million vehicles in the U.S. in 2025, where it employs approximately 56,300 hourly manufacturing workers.
