Dynamic Friction Company (DFC)
Dynamic Friction Company (DFC) (Carson, CA) introduced its Police Duty front and rear brake pads. The DFC police brake pads are designed for handling substantial vehicle weight, added equipment loads, repeated high-energy stops, elevated brake temperatures and continuous stop-and-go demands.
DFC designed the brake pads for the 2020-2026 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor and 2021-2026 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) and Special Service Vehicle (SSV).
Features:
- Completed Link Engineering's Police Laboratory Brake Evaluation Program and included in AMECA's Police Declaration of Conformity product listing
- Offers targeted part coverage for 2020–2026 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor (Front: DFC 1911-2229-00/01, Rear: DFC 1911-2231-00/01) and 2021–2026 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV/SSV (Front: DFC 1911-2407-00/01, Rear: DFC 1911-2174-00/01) with optional hardware kits
- Engineered to maintain structural integrity, friction consistency (ISO 26867) and bonding strength (SAE J840) across severe heating and EVOC emergency-driving cycles
- Tested under SAE J2784 protocols to ensure deceleration capability, emergency braking performance and handling of failed-system conditions match OE standards
- Tested to SAE J2521 for low noise behavior across cold and severe heat conditions, alongside Link USCT wear testing to match OE police durability
