PolyFlex, a division of the Nefab Group, has officially opened its manufacturing and engineering hub in Wixom, Michigan, for returnable plastic packaging and protective solutions serving the automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors.
The operation totals some 137,600 square feet across two buildings. One facility houses injection molding for returnable plastic packaging, while the other is dedicated to engineered protective solutions that cushion, separate, and protect products throughout the supply chain.
Injection molding capabilities include press sizes ranging from 125 tons to 2,600 tons, enabling production from precision components to large-format packaging and material-handling systems.
“Having design, tooling, and injection molding all on one campus means we can offer genuinely end-to-end service,” said Brian Finkel, director of operations at PolyFlex.
The facility supports reusable packaging systems designed to improve transport efficiency and reduce reliance on expendable packaging. Local production also strengthens supply chain resilience and reduces packaging waste for customers across the region.
The investment reflects Nefab's broader strategy to expand regional manufacturing capacity in North America, supporting customers seeking more resilient, sustainable supply chains.
