Honda Motor Co.
Honda Motor Co. (Tokyo, Japan) introduced the GXE4.0D, GXE6.0D and GXE9.0D for commercial-grade work and construction equipment. The high-output models are designed for high vibration resistance and zero-emission continuous operation and can be used in excavators, high-pressure washers, rammers, plate compactors and heavy industrial machinery.
The new models provide a flexible, zero-exhaust electrification solution for industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) using EU harmonized standards.
Features:
- Delivers specialized maximum outputs of 3.7 kW (GXE4.0D), 6.0 kW (GXE6.0D) and 8.7 kW (GXE9.0D)
- Adopts lithium-ion battery with storage capacity of 1.3 kWh or more
- Engineered with identical flange mounting areas and shaft dimensions to traditional GX200 gasoline engines
- Shares high-efficiency motor components with Honda electric motorcycles, optimized with a robust magnetic circuit and structural design built to endure intense construction site vibrations
- Operates with ultra-low acoustic noise and zero exhaust emissions, allowing safe, continuous heavy operation inside unventilated tunnels or at nighttime urban worksites
- Suitable for underground construction sites, residential nighttime construction projects and vehicle/equipment manufacturers seeking modular component configurations
