Hyundai Announces Its Largest Mobility, Robotics Deployment for FIFA World Cup

The fleet includes 994 passenger vehicles, 506 buses and four Spot robots.

Hyundai Motor Company announced its largest deployment of mobility and robotics solutions for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. As FIFA's official robotics partner, the automaker plans to support tournament operations across 16 host cities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The fleet, which includes 994 passenger vehicles and 506 buses, will provide transportation for national teams, officials, tournament operations and media. It will primarily consist of the following models, with hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) variants available on select models:

  • PALISADE

  • SANTA FE

  • TUCSON

  • SANTA CRUZ

  • KONA

  • SONATA

  • ELANTRA

  • CRETA

  • CRETA GRAND

  • GENESIS GV80

Hyundai also plans to deploy four Boston Dynamics Spot robots at the International Broadcast Center in Dallas and New York-New Jersey Stadium to support security operations. The robots' duties will include autonomous patrol and real-time monitoring and inspection.
