Taiyo Yuden Commercializes High-Current Hybrid Capacitors

Designed for noise suppression and power smoothing.

Taiyo Yuden Taiyo Yuden Hybrid Capacitor Hvx K And Htx K Series
Taiyo Yuden U.S.A.

Taiyo Yuden U.S.A. (Schaumburg, IL) commercialized the HVX (-K) and HTX (-K) series of conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors for power supply circuits for control functions such as automotive power steering or safety functions like ADAS.

The HVX (-K) and HTX (-K) series provides a noise suppression and power smoothing solution for electronic control systems and electrified powertrains using the AEC-Q200 Stress Test Qualification for Passive Components standard.

Features:

  • Utilizes both conductive polymer and electrolyte solution to combine low ESR characteristic of conductive polymers with self-repairing property of anodic oxide film
  • Engineered through optimal design of all constituent materials to achieve rated voltage of 80 V at upper limit operating temperature of 135°C
  • Commercialized across 46 distinct types, featuring lineup of seven physical sizes ranging from φ6.3 x 7.7 mm up to φ12.5 x 16.5 mm
  • Includes specific high-capacity variants such as RAHTX181M1RGP5005K (φ12.5 x 16.5 mm) which features rated ripple current of 3,900 mArms at 135°C
  • Supports growing number of internal power supply circuits required in modern vehicular electronic platforms
