Advantech (Irvine, CA) introduced the ASR-A501 4” SBC and the AFE-R761 AI vision control system for visual AI applications, including robotics, AMR and in-vehicle monitoring assistance. The ASR-A501 and AFE-R761 are designed for real-time sensing, flexible compute scaling and reliability in confined spaces and can be used in smart manufacturing, smart logistics, warehousing and large-scale construction vehicle operations.
The ASR-A501 and AFE-R761 provide a low-latency and easy-to-deploy edge computing and motion connectivity solution for visual AI analysis and robotic control using the EtherCAT master stack protocol.
Features & Benefits
- Integrates 4 to 6 high-speed GMSL serial interfaces on AFE-R761 to support multi-camera synchronization, zero-copy video processing and 360° surround-view software image stitching
- Integrated 6 TOPS INT8 NPU that supporting Hailo-8 AI accelerator cards (delivering up to 26 TOPS sparse / 25 TOPS INT8 acceleration) for YOLO-series object detection and lightweight quantized LLMs like DeepSeek 1.5/7B variants
- Equipped with two USB 3.0 ports (supporting 1.5A power delivery for TOF/depth cameras), two CAN FD interfaces for real-time motion connectivity, one 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, three Gigabit Ethernet ports and multiple isolated digital I/O interfaces
- Supports pre-installed Ubuntu and ROS2 Humble, paired with EtherCAT master driver, real-time kernel patches and CPU core binding technology to achieve sub-millisecond control latency
- 12~24 V wide-voltage input design, 8 kV contact and 15 kV air ESD protection and locking mechanisms on all interfaces to prevent loosening in high-vibration environments
