MELBOURNE, Fla. — L3Harris Technologies has begun high-volume production of Vampire counter-unmanned systems (C-UxS) in Huntsville, Alabama. The new line is a direct response to the persistent drone threat posing risks to military personnel and infrastructure for the U.S. and its allies.

The Alabama facility features a flexible assembly, testing and installation area to integrate Vampire onto ground vehicles and containerized weapon systems. The production line can adjust and increase volume as demand evolves.

Vampire has detected, tracked and defeated small drones during European combat operations since 2023.

In 2025, L3Harris announced the expansion of its Vampire family of systems to include specialized variants for land, maritime, air and electronic warfare operations, as well as integration aboard new defense ground vehicles.
